VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT PLANTING FIELDS ARBORETUM
Join a group of enthusiastic and talented volunteers who are working to
preserve a piece of Long Island heritage at Planting Fields Arboretum State
Historic Park and Coe Hall historic house museum in Oyster Bay. Volunteers
are needed in a wide variety of areas as: Gardeners, Greenhouse workers,
House and Garden docents, Gift Shop and Visitor Center Staff, Receptionists
and Special Events.
Weekend docents & Gift Shop staff are especially needed!
A commitment of approximately four hours per week is requested, depending
upon the area chosen. Introductory training will be held Thursdays and
Saturdays on March 16 & 18 and 23 & 25 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. New
volunteers should attend either the Thursday or Saturday sessions. Ongoing
education and hands on training will follow the initial training.
